Wagtail Woodwork was founded in 2024 by Johan Claesen. Named after the first visitor to the studio, an inquisitive wagtail, the workshop is nestled in the stunning Wiltshire countryside, just outside of Lacock, an idyllic and inspiring location to create beautiful, unique wooden furniture.

Our stock furniture items are all individually hand crafted to the highest standards to be stylish, ergonomic and tactile. If you have something in mind we readily take commissions and provide intuitive, elegant design choices based on your requirements. We can breathe new life into the worn but beholden furniture pieces that have faithfully served you but now need a skilled dose of TLC.

We keep a stock of most items ready to ship but if you are inspired by the design but have a specific requirement we can craft bespoke items to order.
